The paper presents the propose of new recreation and touristic spatial development of the Dormowskie Lake and surrounding areas. The Dormowskie Lake with an area of 24.15 ha is located in the Struga Dormowska stream catchment in the western part of Wielkopolska (municipality of Międzychód). Valorization and evaluation of natural conditions (with grading points method) of the lake and its catchment were done for touristic and recreation purposes. The evaluation has shown that the Dormowskie Lake is an attractive tourist object as it shown a varied shoreline, good quality of water, has aquatic vegetation in the coastal zone, as well as an elevation in a form of islands. In the north-west part of the lake two beaches are planned together with grassy beach, rental points of sport equipment and a camping site. A view-tower, parking lot and small catering are proposed for the north-east part of the lake. Moreover, on the existing island grassy beach, a camp-fire spot is suggested. Bicycle lane of 3.3 km length is planned around the lake.
