Chemical composition of maize and sucro-sorghum grown and fertilized with different methods
Summary.

The qualification of the content of mineral and organic components of maize and sucro-sorghum in dependence on the ways of tillage and fertilization was the aim of the investigations. Field trials were conducted in 2008-2010 at the Experimental Station at Swadzim near Poznań. Sorghum contained more Ca, Mg and K than maize, however concentration Ntot and P was larger in maize. Uptaking all alimentary components, in count on the individual of the yield, lies similarly. The direct sowing increased uptaking, by single plants of sorghum, K and Ca, in comparison with maize sown in the same way. Starter fertilization enlarged uptaking of calcium by maize and the uptaking of this component by sorghum was reduced, in comparison with broadcast fertilization. Sorghum contained more crude fibre and ash than maize, and the content of remaining organic components was smaller.

Key words: maize, sorghum, ways of the tillage and fertilization, chemical composition
