Traces of Cistercian horticultural and agricultural activity in the contemporary landscape of the village of Owińska
Summary.
The order of Cistercians to a considerable degree contributed to the economic and spatial development of the village of Owińska. Investigations were initiated aiming at the identification of traces of agricultural culture coming from the period of the monastery activity and their role in the contemporary landscape of the village was determined. It was proposed to cover the entire cultural landscape formed by the monastery with conservation protection, including gardens, spatial features and other traces of agricultural activity. The protection should also cover all view associations and panoramas together with foregrounds.
