Effect of selected calculation methods on flow value measured with currentmeter
Summary.

This article presents the impact of computational methods on flow rate in cross-section trough. Hydrometric measurements were carried out on the Biała River in cross water gauge Mikuszowice in Bielsko-Biała. They were made with currentmeter SEBA F1. The measurements were of complete measurement type and depended on determining cross-sectional area, as well as water flow speed in the section. The water flow in the cross-section was determined using four computational methods, allowing to compare the values of flow. The used methods of accounting were: Harlacher’s method, Culmann’s method and the method of solid, which is a modification of Harlacher’s method and innovative method introduced in this article. In this method of solid, the results obtained for flow of water were closest to the Harlacher’s method.
It can be thus assumed that the method gives the most accurate results.
