Sustainable Hydro Assessment and Groundwater Recharge Projects – project assumptions and initial results
Summary.

Project Sustainable Hydro Assessment and Groundwater Recharge Projects (SHARP; nr 0873R2) is realised by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management National Research Institute Wrocław Branch and 8 European partners within INTERREG IVC program and co-financed by the ERDF funds. The Project aim is protection of the existing water resources with particular emphasis on groundwater. The project will also consider the climate changes and geological and geographical conditions of regions involved in the project. The project will be implemented through the exchange and improvement of existing technologies and best practices. The end results of a project realised by the Institute will be elaboration of the monitoring project for purposes of the stabilization and reconstruction of groundwater resources within the Lusatian Neisse basin in changing climate conditions, and development of the project of Decision Support System in the groundwater resources management within the Polish part of the Lusatian Neisse basin. This article presents general objectives of the project and the work already completed.
