Modelling of thin interbeddings with higher permeability properties in two-dimensional steady state groundwater flow by using simple linear element
Summary.

“No thickness” simple linear element were used to model thin interbeddings with higher permeability properties then the rest of enclosed ground. Relationships for the element were obtained early (Wosiewicz i Walczak 2005) by condensation, from equations for four nodes rectangular element. Proposed procedure of modeling of interbeddings were implemented in computer program created by the authors. Set of tests and comparative calculations have been carried out. The calculations proved correctness and efficiency of proposed procedure. Results of calculations of groundwater flow under weir located on permeable ground with thin horizontal interbeddings situated on depth equal to one fourth of length of the weir have been presented in the paper.
