Occurrence of Actinomycetes in soil environment of agricultural plants nearby a municipal waste dump
Summary.
The field research was carried out in the period from March 2006 to September 2007. Eight test stands (check plots) were appointed for soil sampling on each side of the municipal waste dump in Tarnow in two zones (50-249 and 250-500 m from its borderlines). On the check plots ‘Nadwiślański’ cultivar of faba bean, ‘Żura’ cultivar of common wheat and ‘Kuklik’ cultivar of potato were grown in the rehabilitated part of the waste dump an additional check plot was created. After analysis of the obtained results, the highest number of Actinomycetes was found in soil under faba bean and the lowest – under potato. Considering the vegetation period of plants, the highest number of Actinomycetes was observed during the intensive growth of plants.
