Golf courses – landscape shaping and protection
Summary.
Golf courses are sport facilities more than others connected with a natural environment and landscape. Intensive expansion of golf courses over the last decade and the surveys conducted show the need of considering the landscape shaping and protection aspect, as well as natural environment preservation, as the design stage, at the management and conservation stage. The objective of this paper is to show the impact of golf courses have on the landscape, the landscape architect’s role in planning, the management methods including landscape and natural environment protection.
