The research covered the influence of three microbiological preparations on the change of soil physico-chemical and biological parameters (activity of soil enzymes), as well as the contents of macro-components (N, P, K, Mg) in the conditions of a replant disease occurrence. Two types of soil were used in the experiment: soil used for 30 years in horticulture (replanted soil) and soil of optimum properties ready for horticultural planting (virgin soil). Both types of soil were treated with micro-biological soil preparations: EM-5, BactoFill 10B, and Humobak PG. A two-year observation indicated that soil-treatment preparations used on replanted soil increased its organic matter and considerably lowered soil pH and soil content of phosphorus and potassium. The activity of both soil enzymes considerably increased as a result of used preparations. Apart from a few exceptions, the research did not indicate the occurrence of positive relations between soil enzymes activity (proteases in particular) and the organic matter content, the level of soil acidity, as well as the content of most macro-components.
